Flipping the Switch to Social - How To Use Online Tools To Add Value To Your Life & Brand!

Even though people who are early technology adopters have been using social media and online software platforms for a while before COVID, they used it either for business or for making personal connections to supplement their in-person networks, meetings and events.

When COVID hit, there was no other option other than the virtual online tools for keeping up with your networks and personal relationships.  These tools now have become a lifeline for remote working and remote learning – and as well a mainstay for communicating with people and building meaningful relationships and connections.

In Episode 3, we explore the ways for Jobseekers, Career Navigators, Employers and Educators to make the most of the tools that they select to create and broaden your networks!

Alyson Hodson is the President & CEO of Zag, an advertising and strategic marketing and media solutions for small, mid and large businesses including not-for-profit organizations. “Alyson is the president of the Make-A-Wish® Northern Alberta board and sits on its National Governance Committee. She is the past chair of the Downtown Business Association and a past director of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. This is also the year Zag was named as one of Business in Edmonton’s Leaders” (source Edmonton Business.com).

Outside of Stantec, she has been a mentor for the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Leaders of Tomorrow, a Board member for the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies for British Columbia, and a Governor for the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
