DESCRIPTION:Join us on November 18\, 2021\, for the inaugural HerStory 2021 Competition featuring 30 inspiring women-identifying entrepreneurs who will be sharing their stories in front of a panel of Champions looking to invest. \nIncluding special guest speakers from across Canada’s entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem\, HerStory is a national virtual event that will spark a movement focused on diversifying the investing and founder landscape. \nWhat to expect: \nHerStory participants will take turns sharing their stories with the audience and our panel of Champions. Each participant will have a couple of minutes to answer questions from the Champions that will dig deeper into participants’ journeys\, and then later\, as the Champions deliberate\, we’ll have a fireside chat with a special surprise guest! \nAttendees are highly encouraged to stay for the entire duration of the event to give each woman the audience she deserves for her narrative. \nOn November 18\, 2021\, we hope you’ll join us in cheering on and championing these founders as they share their stories of entrepreneurship and their journey to founding their company. \nWhy HerStory? \nStudies have shown what women entrepreneurs and investors have known for decades: traditional pitch competitions consistently fail women. The live stream link will be sent to attendees in advance of the Showcase. In person capacity is limited and will be on a first come first serve basis. \nRegistrants can find a copy of their registration form in their confirmation email under “order summary” then clicking “view and manage your order online”. \nCOVID-19 Protocols \nPer BC’s provincial health guidelines\, we require all in person attendees to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination status and identification upon entry.
