SUMMARY:Opening Doors to Future Work World Opportunities
DESCRIPTION:Episode1: Advancing Talent to Build the Future of Housing & Healthcare\nIt’s about advancing talent to align with the demands that automation will have on all industries\, communities and people.  People who will need to adopt AI tools and adapt their tasks and oversight to apply\, oversee and steward new processes that control tools. Why now? \nThe world is transforming fast…really fast.\nAI and automation impact will affect industries\, communities and how tasks and activities in jobs will continue to change. \nSo fast that Companies and Course Creators are now asking what and how enable people can enable AI and AI enabled tools to enter and advance in the new workforce economy. \nSo fast that Candidates are wondering which doors will lead to find the right career\, company and courses that align with their skills and interests in this new economy. \nThe big question? \nWhat do people still need to learn – to augment their skills\, to work with AI tools to thrive in the new economy?\nThe next question? \nHow will tasks and activities in the jobs at present change in the next few years?\n\nTwo things that AI is not adept at doing today … yet: \n\n\n\nWork in the Physical or Built world – like in the trades which includes construction and manufacturing\nWork needed Human to Human contact – like in health\, wellness and personal care\n\n\n\nWhat careers can people look to explore now?   \nOccupations that may be slower to uptake AI\, and that may have regulatory and or technical labour requirements?  Look at “The Trades” – including construction\, manufacturing\, healthcare and personal care.  Even then\, these “safer” occupations will still need continuous upskilling and and training to attain know-how\, and to learn how to augment their roles using AI tools.  This changes the type of tasks and activities in each occupation. \n\n  \n  \n  \n\nWhat about youth\, their parents and education pathways?\n\n“Daniela Amodei\, co-founder and President of Anthropic (a leading AI Tech Corporation)\, finished another high-stakes meeting with enterprise clients. Predictably\, someone pulled her aside. The question came quietly\, almost apologetically — the kind of thing you ask when you’re afraid of the answer.“ \n“What should my kid actually study?”\n“It’s a question that’s become the white noise of modern parenting. AI can write code. AI can draft legal contracts. AI can diagnose diseases. So what the hell is left for humans to do?” source WSJ Feb 2026 https://www.wsj.com/lifestyle/careers/what-ai-executives-tell-their-own-kids-about-the-jobs-of-the-future-1ba43f65 \nIn this Panel Session and Networking Event\, FutureCite brings you panelists who bring insights to open doors – their experiences\, the opportunity windows\, and why their thinking will impact your future choices. \nSpeaker Panel\n\nJillene Lakevold\nCo-Chief Executive Officer\, All Weather Group \nSince joining All Weather Group in 2005\, Jillene Lakevold has been a catalyst for innovative thinking\, especially within manufacturing and strategic operations. SUMMARY:Breaking Through and Stepping Outside the Box
DESCRIPTION:Jess left a career in the corporate world to pursue her passion of entrepreneurship in the Trades.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nAfter completing her business degree and working in a corporate job\, Jess walked away from it all to pursue her passion of entrepreneurship in the trades. She started her journey by pursuing a career as a heavy equipment operator. After bulky\, ill-fitting coveralls caused her to have some near misses in her job as a heavy equipment operator\, Jess Black decided to take matters into her own hands and create a line of clothing for women working in heavy-duty industries like oil and gas\, and construction. \nKnowing that active wear is the preferred material worn as base layers on job sites\, she set out to create a line that was also safe. \nIn this session\, Jess will share her story and what she believes it takes to step outside the box and realize your dreams as a female entrepreneur. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:RainForest LWOL #1
DESCRIPTION:In 2011 Antoine co-founded Sustainival\, the world’s first green carnival – a full-scale carnival midway that operates entirely on renewable energy. Antoine is also the co-founder of Sustainitech\, a technology commercialization company that builds high-density commercial lettuce farms in shipping containers. \nGiven the inherent risks of these social enterprise startups\, Antoine launched a third company in 2012 called ‘Boring Investments’. This company was built to purchase commercial properties and establish a cashflow foundation as a hedge against the potential startup risks. \nAfter stabilizing these ventures with executive teams in place\, Antoine returned his focus to commercial real estate in early 2016. Boring Investments was rebranded as Sparrow Capital with the purpose of demonstrating how commercial real estate assets can be curated strategically to enhance the cultural fabric of neighbourhoods and the economic resilience of municipal regions. \nAntoine holds a diploma in mediation and conflict resolution from the Vienna ARGE academy and a diploma in Indian philosophy from the University of Wales. Antoine is a Platinum member of the Real Estate Investment Network\, a board member of IDEA – Infill Development in Edmonton Association\, the Planning Director for the Riverdale Community League\, and Chairman of the PowPow Brotherhood. He lives in Edmonton with his wife and 4 children and is an avid mountain biking and backcountry snowboard enthusiast.
