In this role\, Tom is accountable for services that support private sector innovation and strengthen identity and access management in higher education. Tom regularly participates in conferences and events to ensure that CANARIE’s programs and services align with the evolving needs of this community. Prior to joining CANARIE\, Tom fulfilled many roles and responsibilities for a software consulting startup\, Headwall Software\, which was acquired in 2012 by BackOffice Associates. Prior to this\, Tom held various positions at startups and Fortune 500 companies\, including Avaya\, Hummingbird/OpenText\, Cognos/IBM and March Networks. In his spare time\, Tom enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid sports and music enthusiast.
