SUMMARY:Pivoting and Pain Points
DESCRIPTION:Anthony Nagendraraj is the Founder and CEO of local Edmonton startup\, Spontivly\, a platform that is helping connect people to their community. \nAnthony immigrated to Canada from Thailand at a young age – first to Montreal\, then to Edmonton. He spent his career in the tech industry\, doing both consulting and business analyst work for companies large and small\, including IBM\, CGI and Alberta Innovates. His background allowed him to see\, at a detailed level\, how data influenced decisions; he decided to find a way to allow our communities (and the built forms they take on) be shaped by the way people themselves interact on a daily basis. \nJoin Anthony\, as he learned how to pivot his business and adapt to these strange and uncertain times.

DESCRIPTION:DEMOCAMP IS GOING VIRTUAL!\nStartup Edmonton remains committed to supporting our member community during COVID-19\, which is why we’re thrilled to be hosting our first ever virtual DemoCamp! \nDemoCamp brings together developers\, creatives\, entrepreneurs and investors to share what they’ve been working on and to find others in the community interested in similar topics. For presenters\, it’s a great way to get feedback on what you’re building from peers and the community\, all in an informal setting. Started back in 2008\, DemoCamp Edmonton has steadily grown into one of the largest in the country\, with over 200 people attending each event. \nWe may be going virtual\, but the rules for DemoCamp stay the same: \n\n\n7 minutes to demo real\, working products \n\n\n3 minutes for questions \n\n\n0 slides allowed \n\n\nWe’re partnering with Startup TNT for drinks and networking to follow DemoCamp 49 – virtually of course! \nRegister for Startup TNT drinks here. \nThe DemoCamp 49 lineup has been announced: \n\n\nStream.ML \n\n\nCharity Shop Exchange \n\n\nTrusted Locals \n\n\nWhere Have I Been \n\n\nPrototype Hubs \n\n\nHEAD TO OUR YOUTUBE PAGE AT 6PM TO WATCH THE EVENT!\nInterested in applying to demo at a future event?
