SUMMARY:Healthcare at Home & in Community - New Era Workforce
DESCRIPTION:The way we live and work changes our expectations in work and community living.  Healthcare usually invokes the thought to hospitals and acute care.  It also changes our perceptions of how we live and age in communities.   Whether it is assisted living\, long-term care\, or care at home\, these changes impact immediate and extended families .\nWith the shifts in technology adoption\, learning and upskilling\, the workforce will also change.\n\nOn August 16 2023\, panel speakers from Covenant Health\, Christenson Communities and NorQuest College will share insights on their build-outs\, models of care for assisted living\, longterm care\, and homecare and future workforce skills and needs. As technology adoption increases\, the expectations of society also evolve and impacts the delivery of services in the communities and at home.\nSo what does this mean for the development and construction of facilities\, homes and amenities?\nThe build out and living amenities both inside and the surrounding areas will mean more integration with the care facilities and homes.\nSo how will this create better living for more senior residents and age groups with assisted living and care needs? So what does this mean for the current workforce in healthcare?\nJoin and find out!\n\nOrganizations as a result will look to bridge skills gaps and focus on aligning values and interests with new hires more effectively and efficiently – opening new  doors to new entrants through upskilling and training.\n\nDate:  August 16 2023\nTime:  12:00 Noon Speaker Panel\n12:20 PM Networking AMA Breakout Rooms with Speakers and Advisors\n1:00 PM AMA Ends\nFREE Registration: http://bit.ly/3q5ZtCD\n\n

SUMMARY:Opening Doors to Future Work World Opportunities
DESCRIPTION:Episode1: Advancing Talent to Build the Future of Housing & Healthcare\nIt’s about advancing talent to align with the demands that automation will have on all industries\, communities and people.  People who will need to adopt AI tools and adapt their tasks and oversight to apply\, oversee and steward new processes that control tools. Why now? \nThe world is transforming fast…really fast.\nAI and automation impact will affect industries\, communities and how tasks and activities in jobs will continue to change. \nSo fast that Companies and Course Creators are now asking what and how enable people can enable AI and AI enabled tools to enter and advance in the new workforce economy. \nSo fast that Candidates are wondering which doors will lead to find the right career\, company and courses that align with their skills and interests in this new economy. \nThe big question? \nWhat do people still need to learn – to augment their skills\, to work with AI tools to thrive in the new economy?\nThe next question? \nHow will tasks and activities in the jobs at present change in the next few years?\n\nTwo things that AI is not adept at doing today … yet: \n\n\n\nWork in the Physical or Built world – like in the trades which includes construction and manufacturing\nWork needed Human to Human contact – like in health\, wellness and personal care\n\n\n\nWhat careers can people look to explore now?   \nOccupations that may be slower to uptake AI\, and that may have regulatory and or technical labour requirements?  Look at “The Trades” – including construction\, manufacturing\, healthcare and personal care.  Even then\, these “safer” occupations will still need continuous upskilling and and training to attain know-how\, and to learn how to augment their roles using AI tools.  This changes the type of tasks and activities in each occupation. \n\n  \n  \n  \n\nWhat about youth\, their parents and education pathways?\n\n“Daniela Amodei\, co-founder and President of Anthropic (a leading AI Tech Corporation)\, finished another high-stakes meeting with enterprise clients. Predictably\, someone pulled her aside. The question came quietly\, almost apologetically — the kind of thing you ask when you’re afraid of the answer.“ \n“What should my kid actually study?”\n“It’s a question that’s become the white noise of modern parenting. AI can write code. AI can draft legal contracts. AI can diagnose diseases. So what the hell is left for humans to do?” source WSJ Feb 2026 https://www.wsj.com/lifestyle/careers/what-ai-executives-tell-their-own-kids-about-the-jobs-of-the-future-1ba43f65 \nIn this Panel Session and Networking Event\, FutureCite brings you panelists who bring insights to open doors – their experiences\, the opportunity windows\, and why their thinking will impact your future choices. \nSpeaker Panel\n\nJillene Lakevold\nCo-Chief Executive Officer\, All Weather Group \nSince joining All Weather Group in 2005\, Jillene Lakevold has been a catalyst for innovative thinking\, especially within manufacturing and strategic operations. SUMMARY:FutureCite Speaking at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters
DESCRIPTION:Manufacturing will play an ever increasing role in Canada’s future economy.  All what was in terms of materials\, resources and labour will shift as the new age of automation kicks in.  The challenge and the opportunity will lie with how we prepare to reallocate resources\, the timing window and distribution\, in part due to recent geopolitical events. \nStill there are always silver clouds.  It’s not a magic wand\, but having a big vision\, knowing when and where to reallocate resources to have the most impact in a way that still lets you operate while you roll out each objective of your mission.  Core to this\, you’ll need to learn how to convince your colleagues\, co-workers and collaborate to build a new playbook. \nSMBs and Enterprise Corporations\, and the Educators and Trainers working with the OEMs all form a key role in building the future manufacturing ecosystem in Canada.  Time isn’t standing still. \nStart planning from the shop floor to management and the Csuite\, so that the priority objectives are attainable (for a pilot) to provide outcomes that generate ROI (finance\, product\, marketing) outcomes. As well\, upskill current and new hires as you transition from legacy systems to new digital formats that companies can access. Start to build trust and reliance on relevant data.  Yes\, cyber security plays a key role too\, as does preventative maintenance. \n\nEngage early with employees\, and OEMs on training gaps and be prepared to be agile when considering new  changes or upgrades to systems and 10 year legacy models fall behind – it will impact your speed to market and agility to create new products and technology keeps spinning faster.  . \nThis is a group journey rather than a helicopter skii run.  Getting to the bottom fast won’t do in the future unless you have funding to host multiple.  Event with the funding\, you won’t catch up with the time lag. \nGet the data structured\, cleaned and relevant.  Legacy systems that project for 10 years to implement may be outdated by competition.  And it’s important that the employees who know your current systems and who you can engage and share operations knowledge that may not be in your data files and the engineering and maintenance know-how to share with the organization.  You’ll need this to build a a pilot  to test on the shop floor where they said they wanted resources to build innovative processes and save time in doing it! \nIt’s really about exciting and engaging the people who will augment their skills\, and gain human super powers\, so that robots can continue to chug away on the night shift\, and humans verify and add inputs in the morning! \nPanel Session May 20\, 2026 9:AM MST \n\n  \nEva will also be at UPPER Bound  AI Conference on May 19th and 21st at the Edmonton Convention Centre!
