How to Create and Deliver a Pitch with Impact
January 22, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm MSTFree
Join the Mawji Centre and NAIT’s Enactus team as we host an event all about pitching. As a startup, every opportunity you get to showcase your brand to a targeted audience of potential investors, partners and customers is invaluable. For this session Craig Elias, Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Bow Valley College, will lead us through the in’s and out’s of a good pitch. We will also hear from Cole Rosentreter, CEO of Pegasus Imagery, who recently won the pitch competition at Draper University in the Silicone Valley. Cole will share what has worked for him and why.
Chosen three times by LinkedIn as Canada’s #1 B2B Sales Expert (#15 globally for 2019), Craig Elias is an award-winning entrepreneur, author and a highly sought-after startup advisor.
Craig’s first business won a $1,000,000 prize in a global billion dollar business idea pitch competition, went from initial launch to being funded by a Tier 1 US-based Venture Capitalist in less than 12 months, and was twice named by Dow Jones as one of the 50 most promising companies in North America.
Craig is LinkedIn user 3,956 of over 650 million users and has been a National Growth Advisor for Goldman Sachs’ and Babson College’s 10,000 Small Business Program in Boston, is on the advisory board for Nudge.ai (an artificial intelligence company started by a founder of Eloqua, which was sold to Oracle for $957 Million US) in Toronto, and is a mentor for the GrowthX Academy in San Francisco.
For the past four years, Craig has been the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Bow Valley College in downtown Calgary where he helps post-secondary students become first-time entrepreneurs and runs three different student pitch competitions – VentureQuest, 150Startups, INVENTURE$.
