Kimberly Wong is the co-founder/CEO of Volo Works, the online marketplace for local services (B2B and B2C). When she moved to Alberta, she wanted to start a piano teaching business, but she didn’t know anyone and couldn’t find a simple and affordable way to advertise her service to her new city, where she knew there was a demand because of the young demographic of the families around her. So she and her business partner, Justin Harwood, made a simple and affordable online platform just for local services! Available across Canada and one day to go global, Kimberly and Justin have started this platform in the Edmonton area, where it’s been growing steadily over the past few months. It is the new and upcoming go-to for services, especially those that serve businesses and tech companies. Kimberly is here to share her journey of this startup and the many hard lessons she’s learned along the way, as well as to share how Volo Works may benefit you!
