Join us for a conversation with SAIT’s newly appointed Chief Catalyst of the School for Advanced Digital Technology, Jim Gibson.
Cutting to the chase and credentials, Gibson co-founded Rainforest Alberta in 2016 to advance innovation in the province. Most recently, he co-founded Thin Air Labs, which funds early-stage, entrepreneur-led technology ventures and networks. In addition to remaining a partner with Thin Air Labs, Gibson is a board member and advisor to Alberta Innovates, The A100, Mikata Health, Beakerhead and Venture Mentoring Services of Alberta.
With a Management Consultant designation (CMC) along with an MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Computer Science, Gibson also understands the business side of innovation and technology advances. Outlined in his recently published and thought-provoking book, Tip of the Spear: Our Species and Technology at a Crossroads, Gibson examines the challenges and the opportunities ahead.
