About Adrian Banica:

Adrian Banica has an extensive background in technology commercialization with work focusing on industrial systems, oil and gas, and health devices. Adrian founded three technology companies, most recently Synodon Inc., a remote sensing company offering methane emissions mapping and other aerial GIS services to the oil and gas sector. Adrian brings considerable experience in high-tech product development and commercialization, leading technology company startups, technology venture financing (including IPOs), brand development and revenue growth in Canada, U.S. and internationally. Adrian is also a member of the A100, a group dedicated to helping the next generation of Alberta tech entrepreneurs.

About Mark Benning:

Mark is an experienced entrepreneur who founded and led four investor-backed, technology startups in Silicon Valley, California over a 20-year period. As an Executive in Residence at TEC since 2017, he acts as a mentor to entrepreneurs and executives and as an advisor to TEC’s Business Development team. Over the years, he has worked for various private equity and venture capital firms and has raised over $100 million in angel and venture funding for his startups and others he advised. Mark has a BA in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University, where he focused on leadership and entrepreneurship.
