🚀 Another exciting year at the Skills Canada Alberta Competition Summit! 🎓🔧💡
Over 20,000 secondary students (Grades 9–12), along with their parents and teachers, gathered at the Edmonton Expo Centre for two packed days exploring careers in The Trades — from construction, healthcare, media & IT, culinary & hospitality, fashion & beauty, to the military.
So, what’s new and exciting?
➡️ Technology is changing the game — but humans are still at the center. In today’s era of AI and automation, jobs are evolving, and so are the skills needed to succeed.
That’s why bridging skill gaps faster and smarter matters more than ever – to build the next generation workforce with Companies and Course Creators!
At FutureCite, we’re really passionate about helping people connect the dots between:
✅ The right Candidate
✅ The right Career
✅ The right Company
✅ The right Course
This isn’t just about youth — it’s also about adults navigating career transitions in uncertain economic times. And yes, that includes ways for businesses and course creators to save time and costs.
We were thrilled to return to the Summit this year and hear first-hand from students, parents, teachers, and businesses. Their questions and insights about the future of work truly mattered.

👀 Curious about the AI tool we are launching to help students and adults simplify their career and learning journeys…at this event as the first of many tools we will be launching for Candidates, Companies and Course Creators?
At the Skills Canada Alberta Summit in May 2025, we launched the first of our exciting new features — the Jobseeker “Personality ID”, designed to match your unique “personality” with a company’s culture “personality”, in addition to your skills.

For the 🎯 Jobseekers & Candidates at this Summit?
The response? Incredible.
Over 800 attendees lined up to spin the Personality ID Wheel — and discovered how this new tool excite them to think differently about potential career pathways! Even when we ran out of our cool stickers – they still came!
The most amazing thing is that they would then open up to chat with us and their peers, teachers and parents about what they really would like to do!
Stay tuned as we ramp up for June 2025! More to follow!
